THE SECOND ADVENT
THE COMING OF “ONE LIKE THE SON OF MAN”
Letter #2A In The Series

Prophetic (symbolic) Prophecy and Literal Prophecy
Type and Antitype
“Prophetic” prophecy is the type, and the “literal” prophecy is the antitype, events or stories that have happened are also types. I was told by the Spirit, any time we take the ‘literal’ prophecy and put it in the ‘prophetic’ prophecy we lose the meaning of both kinds of prophecies and there is no way that we can understand either the ‘prophetic’ or the ‘literal’ of that prophecy.
Type and antitype: whatever has been in the past will be in the future, 1 Corinthians 10:11, Isaiah. 41:21-23. Ecclesiastics. 1:9-11. 3:14.15.
The dictionary gives as one of the meanings of the word Prophetic ...of the nature of or containing prophecy.
Literal, according to the dictionary means, ...in accordance with, involving, or being the primary or strict meaning of a word or words: not figurative.
Prophetic prophecy is a day for a year and all objects are symbolic.
Literal prophecy designates the strict application of the meaning of each of the words of the involved prophecy or prophecies.
Prophetic prophecy always has within it at least one literal application of that prophecy.
The earthly typical system which began with the first lamb slain at the gate of Eden is built around the Heavenly system. God told Moses to make it after, or according to the pattern of the Heavenly. The Heavenly is the reality and the earthly foreshadows or contains the things which point to the Heavenly system. What we have is - the Earthly system is the prophetic and the Heavenly is the reality.
All the prophecies made during the time of the Earthly system are prophetic prophecies and have an application during the time that Jesus is doing His Priestly work in the Heavenly system. This also makes Jesus’ promises prophetic prophecies, having more than one application. The promises to Abraham were also prophetic, because they apply in the future from Abraham’s time. In Galatians 3:16 it says, Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made... And to thy seed, which is Christ. So the prophetic promises made to Abraham have within them a literal application of theses same promises for Christ. The promises to Abraham being the type and to Christ being the antitype.
For the law had in it a shadow of good things to come, but was not the essence of the things themselves; hence although the same sacrifices were offered every year, they could not perfect those who offered them. For if they had once been perfected, they would have ceased from their offerings; for, from henceforth their minds would not have driven them into the sins from which they had once been cleansed. Hebrews 10:1-2 AEM.
The Jews had boasted to the Gentiles of His coming, and had dwelt largely upon the great deliverance which He would bring them, that He would reign as king, and put down all authority. Every kingdom and nation would bow to Him, and the Jewish nation would reign over them. They had the events of the first and second coming of Christ confounded together. 4-S.G. 115.
We have been told that history repeats. Because of not understanding the Prophetic prophecy and the Literal prophecy we too have confounded together the prophecies of Matthew 24, the second coming, making Jesus’ coming to receive His kingdom the complete second coming. We have not understood that the “one like the Son of man”, Daniel 7:13 after receiving “dominion and glory and a kingdom”, comes in the clouds with power and great glory. This coming is the second application (literal) of the stone of Daniel 2 that strikes the image breaking the kingdoms represented there on in pieces. Here are two different prophecies, (Matthew 24 and Daniel 2); one the prophetic the other the literal, coming together at one and the same time. Most everyone is looking for the fulfillment of Daniel 2:44-45--the kingdom in Israel--the Stone King’s (Messiah’s) coming. But, we have been completely blind to the establishment of the Stone Kingdom in the earth.
The Prophetic (symbolic) Prophecy of the seventy weeks has taken place and now it is time for the Literal Prophecy to take place. During this time both the cutting off of the Messiah and the second half of the week of years will take place. The Woman of Revelation 12 is the Spoken Word and She flees into the wilderness where She is nourished for a time and times and half a time... (3 1/2 years). This is the time that the leadership will be changed. This time begins with “The King of Kings” command. ...That from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. Daniel 9:25. The “again” in this verse tells us that this has happened before at least once and will happen again.
