Five Stones

Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 1 Samuel 17:45
You know the story; David had picked up five smooth stones. Some people believe and teach that David chose five stones, one for Goliath and one for each of his brothers, but the real story is prophetic, painting a picture of the future event when Satan is conquered. We find our first clue to the truth concerning these five stones in David’s reply to the Philistine “I come to thee in the name of the LORD”. Now according to David, Goliath is armed with a sword, a spear and a shield, but he, David, is armed with five stones or the name of the five members of the God Family, the LORD of hosts. These five individual stones represent the five members of the God family at the time Satan is bound. (Revelation 20:2)
Many reading this last statement will find it to be an eyebrow raising statement. For instance, there are those who read Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: Deuteronomy 6:4 and take a stand believing there is only ONE who is known as God. Then there are those who read And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14, and believe there are TWO separate members known as God. Then there are those who read Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28:19, and are convicted that there are THREE separate and individual members known as God. But according to what the Spirit explained to me, David was inspired to select five stones in order for this story to prophesy that there will be five separate and distinct individual members known as God, or making up the family of God, when Satan is bound.
Paul explains that when we are studying, trying to comprehend the Godhead we should study the creation lesson book. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:20
In the story of creation we find that God created Adam and Eve …and called their name Adam… Genesis 5:2. While in Genesis 3:20 we read that …Adam called his wife's name Eve… allowing us to see that Eve had two names, a given name and a family name, and depending on the circumstances she could introduce herself to us using her given name Eve, or her family name, Mrs. Adam.
When a man and a woman become husband and wife they create a new family, and the children of this new family will also have two names, a given name and the family name. Today we would write these names right next to each other like this, Cain Adamson, but in Bible times they wrote them like this, Cain son of Adam.
Using the information that we just garnered from the creation lesson book and applying it to the invisible things of God, “even his eternal power and Godhead”. We get a much more in depth understanding of what Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, meant when He said, I am come in my Father's name… John 5:43. From our example Adam, we know that the Father’s “Name” includes two individuals, one male and one female, and that the Wife has Her own special given name. Now we can clearly see three, the Father, the Holy Ghost, and the Son all using the family Name. Three members of the Royal Heavenly Family answering to one name.
But David picked up five stones!
In our quest to find the identity of these last two alleged members of the Royal Family there are some facts we should take into consideration. One fact is that we must be able to find these two members scripturally, and another is that these last two members will not be brothers to Jesus because we are told in scripture that Jesus is an Only Begotten Son. If they cannot be brothers, then we must look closer at the members we have already identified.
Returning to our example we find that God chose a name that described characteristics of our first parents and gave them the name Adam. Upon separating Eve from Adam’s side this name became a family name. Following God’s example Adam chose a descriptive name for his wife, giving her the name Eve meaning life, or mother of all.
In 1 Corinthians 15:45, Paul calls Jesus the Last Adam. Like Adam, Jesus was given a descriptive name …for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21. And like Adam Jesus’ name is destined to become a family name. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter… But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:16, 26. Notice how Jesus emphasizes that the Comforter/Holy Ghost that will be sent in His NAME is “another” or one separate from the original. The original Holy Ghost is the Mother of the Only Begotten Son of God while this one who “the Father will send in my name” is His Wife.
At a time when the disciples were arguing over who would be the greatest in the Kingdom and sit next to Jesus, Jesus spoke, And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name (Jesus’ Son) receiveth me (Jesus the everlasting Father Isaiah 9:6): and whosoever shall receive me (Jesus the Son) receiveth him that sent me… (God the Father)” Luke 9:48
Now that we have identified 5 separate and distinct members of the Royal Family, one to correspond with each of the 5 stones David chose, let’s go over them one more time just to fix them in our minds. First we have the Father, Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit and Only Begotten Son. Next we have Jesus taking on the role of the Last/Second Adam and becoming the “Everlasting Father” with the “Another Comforter” as His Wife and then becoming the Mother of His “Child in My name”.
The thing that makes this so difficult is that we have not realized that the name “Jesus” is a family name that includes one male parent, one female parent and one child, and that the prophecies concerning the time and place of the First Advent or the birth of, Jesus the everlasting father, will also be used to teach the time and place of the Second Advent or birth of the Son (Righteous Harvest). And if this is not complicated enough we find that the two female members of the royal family have the same given name, because like Eve they are named after their role in motherhood.
What does this have to do with binding Satan?
We all know that Adam was given dominion over this earth (Genesis 1:26). But what happened to Adam’s dominion after a death sentence was passed upon him and all of his children? In Job chapter one, we find Satan claiming Adam’s dominion by right of conquest. Now consider this, what would happen to the dominion Satan is wielding if Adam was to have an heir free from the death sentence? Of course Adam cannot have a free (righteous) descendant after he died (sinned) any more than Elimelech could after he and his two sons died. Thankfully for Naomi, Elimelech had a near kinsman, and thankfully for us Jesus came to this earth to become Adam’s near kinsman. The purchase of the land by Boaz did not make much of a difference as far as Elimelech’s family line was concerned, but as soon as Obed was born everything changed. Not only would Obed be heir to his father Boaz’s fortune, but he would also be heir to the inheritance left by Elimelech.
Jesus came into this world and became a near kinsman to Adam; through His righteous life and death, clothed in humanity, He purchased Adam’s lost dominion. The purchase of Adam’s lost dominion did not make much of a difference as far as Adam’s family line was concerned because they still live under the death sentence. The important factor in this part of the story is that Jesus died the death of the testator (Hebrews 9:15-16). His death as the testator insures that His Son will not only inherit the fortune of His Father, Jesus, but he will also inherit the dominion left by Adam. With this information it can be easily understood how the Son represented by the fifth stone in the sling of David will deliver a deadly wound to the head of Satan (Goliath) because that is where the symbol of dominion is worn. At the birth of the Son the binding of Satan will begin and this binding will progress in stages just like the conquest of Goliath progressed in stages. (1 Samuel 17:49-51)
How does this take place?
And why is it important to Us and the U.S.A.?
Filled with the Holy Spirit, Zacharias prophesied of the soon to be born Messiah. And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David. Luke 1:69. From scripture (Revelation 17:12) we know that in prophecy horns stand for kings, but also they tell us of strength, so from this prophecy we know that Jesus is going to be a strong King and that He will be successful in providing Adam with an “alive” descendant. Most know that the price Jesus paid to buy the field is more than we can comprehend. He held nothing back, willingly giving His life to close the deal. Now according to Zacharias Jesus is a King, horn of salvation, and according to Paul He died the death of the testator leaving all to His Son. If the Son truly inherits from His Father Jesus He too will be a King, a Horn of Salvation. Now we must look for a place in scripture where we can see these two Kings or Horns of Salvation working together.
One application of these Horns of Salvation is found in Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Jesus sat down at the right hand of His Father on His throne and Jesus’ Son will sit with Jesus, on the throne of David. The crux of why this is important to us is that the Throne of David is the throne of judgment. For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. Psalms 122:5. Jesus took the throne of David at the beginning of the judgment of the dead. When the Son represented by the fifth stone is born He will deliver a head wound to Satan (overcome)1 and will then sit down with His Father on the Throne of David and conduct the judgment of the living. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: John 5:22.
Another application of these two Horns of Salvation is found in Revelation 13:11 and is the reason this is important to the U.S.A. And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. In prophecy this two horned beast represents the United States, but the two horns represent the two Kings/Horns of Salvation. God raised up this nation, founded on Bible Law, so that the judgment messages could be proclaimed from here. The message of the Judgment of the Dead has already been proclaimed from here and has been embraced by many, but what about the message of the Judgment of the Living?
Like the tidings of the Saviour's birth, the message of the second advent was not committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had refused light from heaven; therefore they were not of the number described by the apostle Paul: "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness." 1 Thessalonians 5:4, 5. Great Controversy 315. The Second Advent and the Judgment of the Living are the same event however most people have not been introduced to this truth yet.
I woke up this morning about 3 AM; I had been having a dream that the Lord had given me a large container filled with jewels. In my dream I had tried to share them but no one was even interested in looking at them. Can you understand how this makes me feel?
1. OVERCOME. As used in a statute providing that a presumption may be overcome by other evidence, this term is not synonymous with overbalance or out weigh, but requires merely that such evidence counterbalance the presumption, where the party relying on it has the burden of proof.
